INTERMEDIATE RIGGING (CPCCLRG3002)
Intermediate Rigging course is suitable for personnel who already hold a basic rigging qualification and are seeking to upgrade to an intermediate rigging High Risk Work Licence.
Topics covered in this course include:

All Basic Rigging tasks.

Erection of tilt-up panels & free standing towers.

Dual crane or crane/winch lifts.
-
Dismantling and erection of crane boom sections.

Application of slinging techniques including the selection and inspection of lifting gear.
-
Directing of crane or hoist operators in the movement of loads, including when loads are out of sight of the Crane Driver.
-
Following WHS procedures and completing workplace documentation.
-
Working safely at heights.

Duration:
4 Days – 9 hours per Day + self-paced at home learning

Dress Requirements:
Hi visibility clothing, Hard hat, gloves, Safety shoes and whistle (can be purchased during course). Dress standard is as expected on a typical construction site.
Entry Requirements:

Candidates must be at least 18 years of age with Current photo I.D ( Passport and or Drivers Licence).

Candidates must hold a Basic Rigging Licence (RB).

Can use the English language at a level that enables the safe performance of high risk work.

Participants are required to have general good health and fitness and any pre-existing medical conditions that will affect the training must be disclosed prior to attending.

To obtain a Victorian WorkSafe Licence, applicants must reside in Victoria or, if they reside elsewhere, have a valid reason for obtaining the licence in Victoria.
Course Description:
Participants will be able to identify the safety requirements for a slewing crane up to 60 tonnes capacity & working environments as well as being able to apply a working knowledge of the OH&S and minimum regulatory requirements in accordance with WorkSafe standards.
Outcome:
At the successful completion of this course, participants will receive a Statement of Attainment for the unit of competency, and an email from WorkSafe Victoria with a link to access a Notice of Assessment (which acts as a temporary licence for 60 days). Participants are required to lodge their Notice of Assessment on the WorkSafe portal or at Australia Post and pay the WorkSafe Licence fee within the 60 days to obtain an ongoing C6 licence from WorkSafe.
Fees and Charges:
This course attracts a fee of $1500.00 per participant and is GST exempt. These fees cover all training and assessment.
The full course fee must be paid PRIOR to the starting date of the course.
SD Construction Training is recruiting on behalf of Go Workplace Training (RTO code: 22464). The students will be enrolled with Go Workplace Training for this course who will be responsible for training, assessment and issuing the Statement of Attainment upon successful completion of this course.
